I recently posted an image on my
Instagram of a design I doodled on-top of one of my photos. I got
bombarded with questions about how & why I did it, If it's actually
my own work & how did I come up with the design.
The answer to the majority of those questions:
Boredom.
I've been drawing patterns like this for as long as I can remember. doodling on all of my textbooks & notebooks. It got to a point where I'd put more effort into my doodles than my work. I don't doodle as often but when I found this app called "YouDoodle" I picked it up again. This app allows you to draw on-top of images, It acts like Snapchat's drawing feature except you don't send it anywhere. It's the app I used to create the image above & I love it cause it's easy to use, has so many functions that I've yet to try & It's completely free.
I've been playing around with overlays & transparent images, incorporating them into my sketches on "YouDoodle". Here's a few I've completed recently
