Aromatic Love Affair.

5 months ago, I had the tragic experience of heartbreak as my one and only soulmate of the last 9 years of my life left me. She left me for another. That 'other' was Japan.
You can imagine, it's been a rough few months. But as she my better half she knew just what to do to keep me sane from all this distance between us.
As a parting gift, she left a jar stuffed with an abundance of love notes, for myself to open whenever I missed her, as a reminder and for comfort. She warned me not to open them up in one go, as It would defeat the purpose but I have to admit I've been abusing them lately, more so than usual.
On this occasion, After retreating to the gym for a good 2 hours I decided to have a little read & scrub sesh to cheer myself up! Here's a look into what I encountered x
~
~
I don't usually purchase the 'SportsGirl' coffee scrub but as I received it as a gift from my dear friend Tiffany, I thought I ought to try it out! I usually buy the 'Frank' coffee scrubs, which work wonders! But this scrub I found was a lot nicer and smoother to my skin whereas 'Frank' is a lot more coarse. They both have fast results but the 'SportsGirl' scrub happens to be a lot cheaper!
I'm impatiently anticipating her return in December where we'll be reunited once again, at last. I've got a billion trillion things planned for us that she isn't aware of, I can't wait to share what I have in store with you all <3
Till Next Time,
Later Babes xx

Runner Rebels

When it comes to Slavery, There is no "Grey Area'

I stumbled upon a sign-up sheet on Facebook one night, about a charity run that was dedicated to stopping human trafficking. So a group of girls and I gathered together to join this event. What we thought we was simply a running event, in reality was a movement.
~
An estimated 28 million people today, are trapped in some form of slavery. 93% of them being in asia, 55% of them of the female gender. Slavery is an underground flesh for cash business that is worth the total national income of New Zealand.
How is it that A business that is worth the national income of a whole country, is a business that hardly anyone knows/speaks about? So for the last 3 months, we've been working together with other students like ourselves to help raise awareness and funds about the critical issue of "Modern Slavery".
The end goal was to raise HK$3,660 worth of funds by the day of the race. The funds would be donated to charities that go towards beneficiaries that work with rehabilitating trafficked victims,
Last Saturday, was the day of the "24-HOUR RACE"
Here's a little look into our day!
~

~
We successfully reached our fundraising goal and managed to complete a total of 177 laps. Although our day of fighting is over, for millions of others out there it isn't. Donations are still acceptable at:
JustGiving.com/TheRoos
If it weren't for these girls dedication to the movement, we wouldn't have been able to achieve anything. They were an amazing bunch to work, run & venture with, I couldn't have asked for a better group of gals x
I'd like to thank our 'part-time' photographer; Michael Gilmour, who thankfully took these lovely shots of us earlier on in the day.

~ Secret Study Hideouts ~

School's been really hectic lately and I hadn't had anytime to update my blog :(
Let's face it I highly doubt I'm ever gonna be posting consistently but hey,
I like to keep you guys on your toes.
I took a little break from studying and decided to treat myself to a nice brunch & tan on my balcony.
 ~

~
I made myself a plate of avocado & tomatoes on corn thins, sprinkled with chia seeds, black pepper & salt. Then had an additional bowl of overnight green tea oats, topped with strawberries, chia and drizzled a load of honey on top.
I'm honestly a very big honey enthusiast and when I first started being vegan, I was utterly heartbroken when I realized I wouldn't be able to eat honey anymore. But I've recently been purchasing 'Manuka' honey which is a vegan-ish substitute. This stuff is genuine gold! I don't think I'll ever go back to normal honey aha x
Not only am I obsessed with honey but chia seeds are an absolute essential to all my meals! If you've never heard of chia, I highly suggest you get on it ASAP.
It has an overwhelming amount for benefits for your health, yet barely tastes like anything in your meals. They provide a nice crunch, nutty texture and can be thrown in together with ANY meal. I sprinkle them into my Pancakes, sandwiches, smoothies/smoothie bowls, EVERYTHING.
I didn't intentionally coordinate my meal colors, but I guess that's just what happens when you live the blogger life. I had such a great snooze yet got a lot of work done which I find very usual but I'm really enjoying my sacred little hiding spot <3
Below is the recipe for my overnight oats! & some info and recipes with chia!
I added half a table spoon of matcha power to mine but here is the recipe I based mine on
